Let Me Wash My Plate!

"Wash the Plate" meme

blank spaceCame across this meme on a church’s Facebook page.   I’m confused about what this means. Maybe it has a context specific to India? I’ve been watching a travel channel guy in India, who goes to restaurants where they serve the food on banana leaves or passion fruit leaves.
Played in a band once, for a “family dance” (parents and children), who invited the band to join their potluck afterwards, only for us to find out they were very self-important environmentalists who banned both paper plates and plastic utensils, AND  banned washing your dishes. They went so far as to lock the church kitchen to keep us out. However, I refused to return my ceramic plate & metal silverware dirty, just so they could control the amount of water not dispensed in the kitchen. I very prominently carried them down the hall, washed them in the restroom sink with the hand soap (that’s all I could get), dried them with disposable paper towels, and returned them clean. Why? Pride in my own dignity, and I wasn’t going to be robbed of it.

FWIW, I also have a website for selling products that defeat sensors in public restrooms and let you take control of your own flush cycle. Works in WalMart, and all pubic restrooms where “automatic” toilets, have been terrorizing small children around the country every single day for years. I’ll flush my OWN toilet, thank you very much 😉 🤣
